God is not a being of peace, and I think the history and the bloodshed of the bible prove this.

2. Should we advertise peace (for example, John and Yoko came up with several cute phrases such as "Stay in bed, grow your hair...")? Are these methods affective or do they make us look rediculous to the older generation?

Is that a real question? Wow, no wonder liberals are losing ground in their fight for the office...I'm going to let you in a little hint...back in the 70's when all the crap was popular, everybody was on a little thing called acid (Another reason why you guys aren't taken seriously). The trend could have been underwater basket weaving for peace, and the world would have followed. And the answer is yea, they do make you look rediculous.

3. How can we get people throughout the world involved? Is the internet an advantage?

The answer is you can't...people are way too busy fullfilling their own little agendas to even take notice to yours. You can't force feed peace down people's throats either, I think the Iraqi war has taught us this very valuable lesson. Not everyone is for peace, and you're not going to change their mind anyother way, and I'm pretty sure the guys who are for peace already know it, so you don't really have to remind them. The internet is an advantage to everyone, thus not making it a true advantage. .

What are you doing to show those around you that violence is wrong?

I'm not too sure it is...I mean I know death and war is bad, but it's been a means for God to get stuff done a lot...who do liberals think drownded the world? Or killed Goliath? Or killed the homosexuals in Soddam and Gamorah (But don't wory, God still loves you)? The only reason Jesus turned the other cheek is because he didn't want to see the beating God was about to lay down...

Pesimists Are Never Let Down

I imagine some people sitting around in their livingroom with fingers crossed in hopes of peace on earth with the thought in their head, "Yeah, this is the day it happens." Or I like to picture a guy in a rainbow colored robe going on a hunger strike until all troops are removed from Iraq. Whether these be true events or not, I don't know...it's just fun to get a slight chuckle at the expense of an optimist. Of course if these mental pictures of humor turned out to be true things that some people do, the guy on strike dies, and the asshole with his fingers crossed only gets let down, and has to do it all day the next day, with the same thought, "maybe this will be the day." As for me, I just imagine the economy crashing, more troops dieing, and maybe a nuclear holocaust, which would be sure to ruin your weekend. Of course, the economy doesn't crash, not too many troops die (not nearly as many as I imagine) and there is no bomb, which gives me a feeling of relief, and leaves me with the thought, "Yeah, today was a good day."

Afterall, there's not too much one can ask for. Some food, some shelter, some Titleist 670's, you know, the important stuff in life. Far be it for me to stand in the way of some starving hippie in Missoula Montana, but that mindset isn't for me. What will my worrying contribute to the aide of the problems on Earth? My own problems aquire enough of my time and energy, I'm getting a headache just thinking about caring about world peace. Just remember, if your hopes are never high, they can never be lowered. And you can quote me on that.

In the Year 2000...and 5 (Fags and Rednecks)

NOTE TO READER: The following is very offensive, but if read properly will demonstrate the two extremes of political stereotypes, so before you come and burn my house down, remember, it's just a joke!

The year 2005 has passed us now by. It was over faster than a senator's dead intern court case. Normally I don't reflect on the past, I feel my time is better suited in front of the TV watching lesbian strippers on Jerry Springer duke it out, however over the past fews days I have bounced some thoughts around in my vastless mind. The most important thought being, what a gyp! That year sucked! Let's face it...our leaders were given 300 plus days to make a little change and nothing came of it. Is this because the Xbox 360 came out and they got too distracted? I would hope not, however I do feel it had something to do with political polarity, meaning the fags hate the rednecks and vice versa, unless you're one of those few redneck fags, like in Brokeback Mountain, but that was this year, so I won't even go there. Even some of the rednecks are attacking their own kind, cough cough Cheney, les this be a lesson to all who cross Mr. Cheney!
The fags and rednecks hate each other soooo much they blamed each other for the Katrina incident (Even though it was the fags fault). Can you imagine drowning while their are two people capable of helping you, but their so busy arguing over who's fault it is that you die? Luckily, hollywood fag Sean Penn was their to save the day. I'm still convinced he's preparing for the upcoming role in whatever movie that will be made out of that incident.

The war in Iraq is still FUBAR, along with much of other stuff in the Bush administration, maybe someone should show Bush the defintion of "irony," then refer back to his cruise ship landing, and hope he pieces the two things together. But then again, the fags have made it absolutely imposible for him to do anything. It doesn't matter what the rednecks say, they will oppose it just to spite their crazy asses. Bush could suggest no more war any where in the world and the fags would turn around and say "well we kind of like war." However, I still think the Fags are too busy arguing over which gay cowboy is cuter, and the rednecks are too busy arguing which gay cowboy would be more fun to drag behind a truck.

As for all the other political aspects of the year, I am not phased, nore do I care anymore, for there is no point. Talking and being reasonable has gone right out the window. Nobody's right, if everybody's wrong...right? Well, for now I say good day, and remember, there's not a thing you can do about the way things are...but don't let it keep you up at night, it's only our world!

Aidan Matthew

Godless soul less Liberal Scum

Why does it seem to be the radical Christians that vote for Bush? What draws their one tracked minds to that man? Is it to say that all liberals are godless, or have no faith? This of course is just not true. Every liberal that's ever run for office has admitted to being held responsible to a higher power. In Bush's case it would be Dick Cheney. Why it was even controversial that a CATHOLIC was elected to the presidency (Kennedy). Let's explore!

1. Is it political suicide to denounce Christianity?

One of the most taboo questions of our time. What is it about Americans needing their president to be vocal about their spiritual views. I of course just answered a question I already knew the answer to. If you examine some of the "hot" issues, abortion, death penalty, life support, gay marriage, and foreign policy. All these issues have been given a religious spin. So we already know which side the radicals take, does that mean that all the other voters don't believe in God? Of course not, but would they still vote for a man that didn't believe in God, but still represented them? Of course not. Having a higher power not only denounces arrogance but adds personality, and a human like appearance to a man (woman). It gives that person a soul, and character.

2. So if the radicals guy denounced God, would they vote for him?

He wouldn't make it past the primaries.

3. Would a liberal atheist stand a chance?

I believe an atheist would only make it through the primaries, for obvious reasons. As opposed to Republicans (NOT CONSERVATIVES) liberals have a tendency to think, as opposed to romanticism, which is using pure emotion to reason. (Hint: the more emotion a president shows, the more likely he is to get elected, Clinton was the best at this).

What does all this say? Are radicals better Christians? Are they poor Americans? The answer is probably yes to both those. While they may not be backing down from what their God wants them to do, they are trying to interpret it into the constitution, which is not what this country is founded on.

James M Scott

Dear Deyron (A.K.A. Thomas Jefferson likes R. Kelly)

If you ask any black man who is the most important American to ever live they would clearly say Martin Luther King (Jr.). I must agree in saying he truely was a great man, and in much need of honering. But the most important? Not harldy, Martin Luther wouldn't have ever exsisted if it weren't for a little old dead white guy named Abe Lincoln. After all it was thousands of white men that died for the freedom of the slaves. I can't recall too many periods in time where black people in America laid down their lives like for a cause, especially one that didn't effect them, like that of the northerners that died half a century ago. But, believe it or not, this an apology letter.
I have said some pretty hurtful things Deyron, and I am not proud of it. It is our job as Americans to unite and set a good example for our children, if we didn't, we'd be no better than those crazy Jews and Muslims in Isreal, right? But, again, I'm not here to attack, but to mend. Black bird singing in the dead of night, mend those broken wings and learn to fly.
You must forgive me for my humor. I do not mean to make something serious seem this light and jockular. Let us not forget the goal and purpose of the Constitution. Afterall, every college application I've ever read has a mission statement, why not the Constitution?

"We shall not put up with punk bitches, and shall always stand our ground, and if someone gets all up in our grill, we just say "Dog, that's how I roll.""
Peace,
T.J. (Thomas Jefferson a.k.a "J-man")

Isn't that the premble? Well, deyron, I think you get my point. Let us better America together. Let us frock gayly through fields of wild roses. Let us start a family band, and tour the globe. We should remove the tension between us, raise the political blindfolds. That's what it's all about man, just living life as an American, because no matter how much we bitch, we will never have it as bad as Canada. Can you imagine being the country that put out Brian Adams? But for now, I say to you goodnight my fellow American. Two turn tables and a microphone (That's where it's at).

James M. To, be honest, I don't know. He'd probably help out people who would get turned away from churches, like prostitutes. He would probably turn the other cheek. But an even more asining quesiton is; what would God do? Could it be possible that these two beings, that are one in the same, have their own way(s) about doing things? After all, Jesus was a gentle, caring, pacifist. He would never dream of going to war, over anything. But what about God? He, after all, is responsible for more deaths in the bible, than anything else, combined. The flood, the plagues, the wars he won. It's amazing how some liberals toot the "Jesus was a pacifist" horn, but forget how violent his better half is. It's a theory to be greatly explored, in way more detail than in these few words here.

Green Grow The Rushes

I say destroy all oil refineries. They scream at Bush for the high gas prices, and don't realize that next to Bush's corrupt agenda, they are also to blame. Oil production isn't why are gas prices are so, we have more oil than we would ever need. Here's a good way to assess how much oil we have...They feel drilling in ANWR would be a waist of time because there is probably only 25 years of oil supply. I hope that scales things up. We have pumps all over the country that aren't pumping simply because we don't need it. However, oil refineries are the cause for these extreme gas prices. The hit of Katrina and Rita to the gulf coast have proven how important this process is. But the idea of knocking down the refineries didn't start with hurricanes, it started with the liberal agenda (Jimmy Carter). If you shut down the refineries you make the process more expensive (supply and demand) thus making the gas more expensive. Not a very complicated thinking structure is it? This of course not being the first time liberals have made such a simple thing complicated (The elections). There are hundreds of things that slow the country down just because of liberal thinking. Welfare being one of them. A program that rewards those who don't work by paying them money, which sometimes because of wanting to still receive a welfare or unmanliness check, "forces" them to do underground work (drugs, pimping). Only in America can you find a system like this. To me this is far worse than socialism, at least the people in France are working. Working creates wages, which creates spending, which creates sales (and wage) taxes, which creates jobs. It's that simple. But let us not discriminate against the single mom in Alabama that got "knocked" up, who would rather sit on her ass sniffing glue while her child eats rat poison, than work a hard job. As an alternative to welfare for single parents, I would suggest free day care. This would be cheaper, and would provide jobs, after all someone has to watch the kids. I know this seems too simple, but let us not look at it from our point of view, but of that from a politicians'. No matter what you think, what they say, politicians have one agenda; themselves. So what does this have to do with democrats spending all of this federal money? If you look back at one of my past articles "Race of Spades" you will see where I talk about the liberal party offering just enough money to get the African American people by. And by doing this they keep them dependent, which keeps them voting for the the democratic party. This is how they get the majority of the black vote. This is how they get the majority of every minority, which is all thanks to the genius that is Dick Morris (Clinton's ex-advisor) Since today's issues are far more complex than they were even 10 years ago, democrats needed to go a new way with their voice. So what they did is say yes to every minority group in the country by spending federal money, which brings us back around to oil reserves. They have captured the environmentalists, blacks, Hispanics, gays, Jews, weird liberals (ACLU members), because if you add all those people up, it comes out to be a lot. And if you add all the money it costs to please those people, it surpasses any war or wars that Bush could ever start. Did you think those "Planned Parent Hoods" are free The only way these programs can work, which they do mind you, is on a socialism type economy. Which thankfully we don't, and hopefully never will have.
Looking at the more conservative idea of life is working hard, getting what you earned. Rather our represenatives are representing this or not is still up for debate, but it's an idea I believe in. And it's one I wil vote for any day of the week.

The Ladder Carriers

“...The bearer of the dead
Says to the carriers of ladders
It is a day for carrying loads
It is the day of trouble”

Ah, yet once again, a blame game for all the world to indulge in. George Bush doesn’t care about black people! I seriously doubt I have caused as much controversy as mister West did, or are you staring at me blankly, like that of a confused Mike Myers? I have come to the conclusion why it took so long for the relief efforts in New Orleans. It’s because we were too busy putting up a political ideology fence. Did you know that Mr. Bush declared New Orleans a national emergancy but the governor (Democrat mind you) didn’t sign the paperwork justifying Mr. Bush’s actions? Hmmm....weird, a democrat purposely not trying to work with a republican, no matter how many lives are at stake. Who’d a thunk it? Did you also know that minus the flooding, that was caused by the poor lay out of New Orleans, Mississippi was hit just as hard? But thanks large in part to a majority of its state officials having an R next to there name, they had less problems. But, I’m not here to point blame, I’m just giving Kanye West a big middle finger. Because, if I were Bush, I wouldn’t care about those black people either. Now before you get angry and threaten me with a death threat, hear me out.
New Orleans has a very large African American population. So any white people that did riot (which there were indeed) wouldn’t stand out as much as the thousands of black people that went on a shopping spree. A New Orleans’ Wal-Mart reportedly opened its doors to all the residents of the city, and told them to take what they needed. If you think about it, all the food is going to go bad anyway, and there is a huge tax right off at hand here. Well, while in the process of grabbing food and clothes and what not, a few people (mostly black, refer back to our New Orleans’ demographics) grabbed TV’s, stereos, movies, you know, stuff you really need in a time of need. These same people (blacks) also attacked hundreds of innocent people (probably other black people), they also shot at rescue teams. So, do you care about these black people? I can’t actually believe in a time like this, where Democrats and Republicans alike need to come together and find an answer how to fix our current problem, and how to prevent it from happening again, there are people pointing blame. It’s above me how immature some people are. This clearly isn’t Bush’s fault, well besides the cut of funding towards repair of the levee. This isn’t the governor’s fault, besides ignoring Bush’s constant warnings. This also isn’t the Police Chief’s fault, well besides going into hiding for a week before actually doing something. It’s also not the mayor’s fault, who bused a hundred wealthy tourist out before his.
On the note of Bush, we should look at Federal policy on state issues to see how responsible he is. The Federal Government’s role is to assist state and local governments - at the request of those people who live, work and own property in the area. The federal government has no independent authority to move in uninvited, take over a town, evacuate its citizens or even arrest criminals. Oh snap Kanye! Roll that up, stuff it in those cheap cigars you buy, and smoke it. So where is the blame? Let’s ask Charles Green, writer for The Pueblo Chieftain.

“It was Nagin’s administration that had a despicably lacking evacuation plan. It was Nagin’s administration that allowed dozens of buses to sit idle, only to be flooded by the storm, as poor residents were stranded without transportation out of the city. It was Nagin’s administration that herded tens of thousands of people, mostly black, into the Superdome and the New Orleans Convention Center where there was no food or water or medical supplies. It was Nagin’s administration that failed to have a reliable communications network in place to serve a predictably storm-ravaged city”

This mayor has an unprecedented record of being a dumb-ass. Not only did he not evacuate, properly store the citizens of New Orleans in a foodless and waterless building, he also has invited over 170,000 people to this damned city. I’m guessing the people of New Orleans won’t be the only ones collecting unemployment.
Not to say all is bad, celebrities from all over the country are getting involved. Americans are raising money, Mr. West even said his tasteless comment at a fundraiser he performed at. Maybe there is still hope in the day in the life of an American, because it truly it is a day for carrying loads. So grab your ladder, and carry on.

James M. We would rather focus on the bad or negative then waste saying two positive words. I’m not only applying this to politics, but to life in general. For there is more to life then black/white, liberal/conservative, he said/she said bullshit. There is life, love, children, and enjoying the most beautiful country on the planet. So when do we quit the complaining? When will we be sufficed? When we’re all rich or beautiful? When that bottle Zantrex 3 comes in the mail, which promises to make all your dreams come true? Doesn’t the Prozac do it for you anymore? We’re so used to getting everything we want when we want it and how we want it…I blame Burger King and they’re “you’re way” mentality. Maybe if we worked hard for what we want we would actually appreciate what we have, and if we fail we will learn how it truly feels to be let down, and that all of our superficial bitching in the past was unnecessary. Maybe we’ll realize, “Well maybe we don’t have it so bad after all.” The ACLU and the liberal agenda are to blame for this lukewarm atmosphere we live in, of suppressing freedom of speech, for the sake of freedom of speech, more so liberals than the ACLU (That one was for you Oscar). But again, this just isn’t applied to that specific population of African-Americans who think they should have preference over whites in getting into college because they’re ancestors were once held in bondage, maybe someone should enlighten them to the civil war and how many of those white American men died to free the slaves. This is applied to everyone who has taken advantage of how good it feels to be an American…so, keep it simple, and light hearted. Talk to your neighbor, call that distant relative and say hi…and just dream of cherry pies, candy bars, and chocolate chip cookies. (You got it)

Yours truly,

James M. But all of us seem to fall victim to this ideology trap when asked the question; where do you stand? It’s that one little open ended question that has ruined marriages, friendships, and has even started wars. Why not narrow down the question? “Where do you stand…on the environment?” In the end we are bound to learn that maybe we’re not as liberal or conservative as we once thought we were. Maybe we have more in common with the people we least expected to have something in common with. And in the end we will learn more about ourselves. To narrow yourself down to just one set of views is one of the worst things you can do to yourself. But every four years we find ourselves doing it in the elections…he’s a republican, she’s a liberal, he’s an idiot…we label ourselves as red and blue people. When in reality we’re all a little bit of both, but in the end, no matter what politics, we’re all human beings.

James M. Maybe I can’t blame Democrats for the loss of the American laugh, but it’s still a problem that needs to be explored and solved, quickly before I become brainwashed and caught up in this wave of “not funny.” We need to first examine one of the very first starts of humor; journalism, well technically “Sunday Funnies,” but I had to get a journalism reference in there just to make it somewhat relevant. If you examine most work places you’ll usually see the token comic strip cut and taped to a cash register or to a wall, or whatever obnoxious place they can think of. Why do we celebrate these rarely relevant and even more rare, funny, comic strips? Is this similar to Charlie finding the magical ticket for the chocolate factory? Is a funny comic strip that rare? Should I shout on my roof to the top of my lungs the mildly funny punch line? “There was a giraffe in the closet!” I would rather have a NFL kicker kick me in the balls then read that one little line of “Family Circus.” However, my eyes always seem creep to that little snippet of human defecation, it’s very similar to the train wreck theory. This isn’t to say that there isn’t one funny comic strip, for there is indeed…one…funny…comic strip; B.C. That’s it, out of the twenty or so comics that grace the back of every paper there is only one laugh out loud comic strip.
Another media outlet that has had some funny moments is TV. My hat’s off to shows like “The Simpson’s,” and “Seinfeld” and “Friends”…um…and…well that’s really it. Not to say those are the only three funny shows (I don’t even watch “Friends” or “The Simpson’s”) those are the only three shows that have aired and made it on TV. Give “South Park” two more years and I’ll include them in that group of what I consider the Big 3. There are many shows that are currently on TV or that had once been on TV, but they don’t seem to make it. We would rather watch “King of Queens” or “Everybody Loves Raymond” than “Family Guy” or “Dr. Katz.” Why would someone want to subject themselves to such mind waste…for every minute of “George Lopez” you watch, you have to watch two of PBS. This is science folks, Bill Nye told me so.
Movies are the largest means of funny, or they used to be. We know we have a problem when Jimmy Fallon is starring next to Queen Latifa in “Taxi.” When Chris Farley died, funny movies died with him. Where were you Don McLean with a song on that? The day the humor died…it will go platinum. I’ve already noticed a lowering of humor standards on my part…I caught myself watching “Yes, Dear” yesterday, and laughing…my dad walked in on me. That was the equivalent of him finding porn in the VCR. He just shook his head and walked away.
Not to say all is bad…there is promise, Will Farrell brings new hope to the word funny, and I’ll have to forget he made “Kicking and Screaming,” or should I say forgive? They’ve brought back “Family Guy” and “American Dad” has made me laugh form time to time. “The Simpson’s” is still going strong, and Steve Carell has a news show coming out…but in the end, when all seems to be not funny, there is always “Seinfeld” reruns on TBS.

James M. I thought my “deep throat” was the real deal, but I guess I should have known better when I could smell the liquor on his sombrero, and in all reality, let’s face it, I was no where near sober myself. He said he had the big story, that he could help a journalist make a change, or at least that’s what it sounded like in between burps, and physical gestures at his testicles. I guess I’ll clean out my desk, hang up my hat, and be on way with life…I mean, I really don’t need to work, I’ve made enough money fabricating news stories, and I really don’t see a need for any “criminal” action to take place, after all, no one really got hurt...oh, you say people died? Like a lot? I don’t know what to say, my bad I guess.”

What is there to say?  The irony, after posting an article on the sanctity of journalism, it is the thing responsible for the death of 16 people.  Afghans went rioting after reading a Newsweek story claiming the guards flushed copies of the Koran down the toilet to rattle the inmates…well I guess resonance got the best of them.  People stormed the streets protesting, what exactly they were protesting I don’t know…does it really make sense to stand outside a Wal-Mart protesting the defacing of a Holy Book?  Wal-Mart can only do so much, and I think with all the rolling back on prices, they’ve really already done their part…you could probably buy two Korans for the price of one.  However, the ridiculously low prices at Wally World aren’t the reason of this rant.  It’s the irresponsible journalism and timely response to a Mr. Warren’s statement about libel and the “quality” of sources.  This is backing the old saying, don’t always believe what you hear…which I know would apply to me too, but you can trust me, come on!  One of the points outlined by Mr. Warren was that the constitution can only protect the “truth,” but that can be interrupted in more ways than there are for a Senator to kill a stripper.  The death of 16 people should be good cause for Congress to clarify the 1st Amendment, and give more power to journalist, and balance that with serious consequences…however, this would involve giving more power to the people, and I’m pretty sure Congress is busy enough fulfilling their own agendas.  So, let’s look at what happened, the data if you will;

Fictitious story is published in well regarded periodical…(Someone made something up in a magazine)
Riots are stirred and 16 causalities are the end result…(People died)

Pretty simple if you ask me. The White House issued a report saying that this is far worse than the CBS Dan Rather “incident,” and that the lives of people are far more serious than a little slander. Well now you’ve gone and pissed off The White House…uh oh! But not me, The White House, or even E.T. can make this ouch go away, this is a serious gash in the credibility of American journalism…Thank you…

James M. After hearing this sad story the only response I had was, “Did you just say liberal journalist?” He didn’t get my point so I elaborated, “Why is there even a liberal or conservative journalist? There can be liberal or conservative editorialist, but not journalist.” The point of journalism is to transmit the message to the receiver, exactly as it happened. Journalism is one of the most important things this country was founded on, why else do you think it was mentioned right away in the Constitution? Our founding fathers knew the importance of keeping America informed, journalism is what keeps our government in check, you could look at it as the fourth branch. Its job is to remain passive in “political play”, yet somehow get us the information untainted and purged of all opinion. Somehow the idea of journalism has been distorted in sensationalism and constant rhetoric about he said she said events. If you went to one of our major networks right now, I would be willing to bet you a whole dollar that you will see people arguing over the facts. This is where we are in media where the journalists have given up on the idea of giving facts, so they rather dispute them. This is why Fox News seems less bias than CNN or MSNBC, because you will rarely see arguing on the actual news segments (Fox Report Etc.), it’s hard to argue with people that agree with you. When in reality Fox News is the most bias NETWORK news organization in America. They might not have no one as crazy as Larry King, but nonetheless, they’re crooked. How we got to this point in journalism is simply this; America is lazy and dumb. We, as a country need a little opinion or sensationalism thrown in with our news. The facts are boring, to quote David Byrne. Journalists are far too concerned with one upping the other guy that they will do anything to stay on top; fabricating news stories, cough cough Times. Many journalists feel that there is still hope for media, that we can transcend back into integrity. I feel this is clouds in their coffee, we are pretty deep in our hole, and it’s slowly getting muddy…we must have hit a pipe. We shall refer to this pipe as “political ideology,” and it’s spraying all over our news. Not only are journalists rushing news stories, they’re letting their own thoughts and opinions get in the way. So what can we do? I fear it’s too late, we would have to start taking “smart pills” to recover from this train wreck. We must take journalism into our own hands, we must talk with our neighbors and friends…we have to hope that future journalists understand our need for better smarter news. As for me and my part…I think I’ll stay an editorialist.

Fight On

James M. Nope. Not Liberalism…Nope, not the ACLU. Keep guessing. Nope, not Commies. There’s a greater threat towards the conservative agenda than any of those mentioned; the neo-con. When dealing with a liberal you know they’re stance, you know where they’re coming from, you know they’re agenda. So giving the proper knowledge and wordsmith skills, they can easily be defeated. But what do you with a dreaded neo-con? They say they represent the conservative agenda, but they really don’t. The only agenda they represent is, well, themselves. They’ll straddle an issue faster than John Wayne could a horse. They say they’re for smaller government but they won’t hesitate to intervene in the courts decisions by passing midnight laws.
Right now our President is tittering on the edge of neo-con and conservative. His efforts to help Shiavo don’t help him out much, but however on the other hand he wants to give people power over their investments…whether you think this is a good idea or not you have to be suspicious of the Congressman that oppose giving people more power. A true Republican wouldn’t go to war just to build schools…he wouldn’t thoughtlessly lay down the life of 2000 brave men fighting some “vague purpose.” I can also understand how tax breaks to the wealthy might rub someone the wrong way, we’ll see in a few years if that was a good idea or not. I’m starting to wonder if people like Buchanan will ever get elected, why should someone who believes in what they say get elected, it would go against 50 years of tradition. This, after all is why Dean didn’t get elected, it wasn’t his crazy scream, it’s that he couldn’t compete with Kerry’s “focus group” personality. The days of good men winning office are too far in between, which gets us back to the neo-con. It’s a fact that republicans control the country, but how did they do this? How did they oust the liberal agenda? Well they basically turned the word liberal into a sticky smelly word that no one wants to be labeled. This is how you gain power, instead of saying how you feel, you make the people assume how the opposition feels, if that makes sense. The neo-cons spent the last four years painting democrats as liberal scum bags, when in truth they’re no different than the opposition, they just have an R next to their name…a neo-con is a liberal in sheep’s clothing, instead in their case it’s $500 Kashmir. I respect liberals because they’re not afraid to say how they feel about an issue, of course I’m not referring to any liberal in office, there isn’t any. I have to refer to friends and people I have talked with, people who know what it’s really like to live in America. When it comes down to it, politicians are “me” people, how’s this going to effect “me,” how will this benefit “me?” I’m happier I suppose that republicans do control the country, at least there might be a few people that support a few conservative issues, but I’m not happy how they got there, this is generation conman.

Juicing

With the baseball season quickly approaching I figured we could add a little sports flare into the mix, something I know one of our current readers will enjoy; Matt. Of course the hot topic in baseball right now is the steroid controversy. In last march Bud Selig and board members came to the conclusion on what to do with those who used steroids, and how often they would screen the players for performance enhancing drugs. Every player is subject to at least one “surprise” drug test every year, there is no limit on how many one player can receive. These tests will take place both in the season and off season, regardless of a players country of residence. The items tested for are steroids, steroid precursors and designer steroids, as well as masking agents and diuretics. If a player comes up positive with any of these agents the punishment(s) are:

First time: 10 day suspension.*

Second offense: 30 day suspension.*

Third offense: 60 day suspension.*

Fourth offense: One year suspension.*

* All suspensions are without pay

The question I find myself asking is, “Why is there even a second offense?” If hit king Pete Rose can get booted out of baseball for life for gambling, not cheating, but gambling on baseball, why should someone who is violating the rules to help his team get treated with any leniency? I believe it’s all a matter of money. Selig knew going into that meeting that a lot of top stars are currently using steroids; Bonds and Canseco. If you make the policy too strict and have you top players cut from the game, you would commit rating suicide. People want to go see Bonds hit homeruns (not me), they want to see him break the greatest record in sports (not me). As a result of this Bonds hype you keep fans in the seats, and more importantly you keep baseball on TV. Selig knows this, and I’m sure he weighted out the how this would effect that and how that would effect this, because in the end it all comes down to money, and a player saved is a penny earned.

Senior Editor

James M. Depending on how strong of a point you have, it will only be a matter of minutes. I once referred to the extreme Muslims as the most dangerous religion today, comparing it to the Crusades of yesterday…my liberal friend, of course with no argument, called me a racist. Of course I am not a racist, just someone who thinks extreme Muslims are dangerous, and if you don’t, you’re very naïve.
I have noticed in the last in couple of days that there has been a “hoopla” over he said/she said comments. DNC leader Howard Dean made a statement about how Republicans can only get African-Americans in a conference room (at a hotel) is if they had the room staff there. This is not upsetting to me, because it’s a known fact that the Democratic Party does indeed get the majority of the black vote. However, if I was a Democratic or Republican African-American, I’d be furious. These comments are racially motivated, and do offend black republicans. Republicans, white and black, are up in arms saying that Dean should resign as DNC Leader. While Democrats see nothing wrong in his statements, and that they were done in tongue-in-cheek fashion.
Of course when House Majority Leader Trent Lott made a statement at Strom Thurmond’s birthday party saying the country would be better today if he would have been elected president when he ran quite a few years back, the Democratic Party asked him to step down, which he did. Lott made no mention of race, just was simply trying to make an old man feel good on his birthday. Does the Democratic Party realize the Robert C. Byrd is an ex-Klansman?
The point of this rant is to show how the Democratic Party has a stranglehold on the black population. If you look at the idea of welfare, all it does is just supply enough help for an African-American to get by, while keeping them in the cycle of poverty. This was done some years ago in India, it’s called the Cast System. If you can keep the blacks dependant on the Democratic Party, you have the black vote. No one wins in that situation, except the politician. The black population need a strong leader to make them realize what power and control the Democratic Party has over them.
In every major election the democrats play the race card to their advantage…they have NAACP ads claiming that black churches will get burnt down if you elect a republican. That’s the only defense they have, they know their agendas won’t get them elected, so if they can take advantage of the “minority” vote, they might have a chance. Even the term minority is a term that was derived to keep the black race “lower” in the Cast System. Martin Luther King must be rolling in his grave while the democrats jerk the African-American race around on their puppet strings. If they really wanted bring the African-American race up from poverty they could, but then the blacks would have no reason to vote for the democrats, so they won’t be doing that anytime soon. Wealthy black politicians like “Rev.” Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton don’t want what’s best for the African-American group, because they got to where they are by exploiting the inner-cities and black poverty. We are at an era in politics where politicians will keep a race on their knees , just for political gain. I am ashamed of the majority of republicans that have given up on the black vote. Republicans need to step up and outline the democrats plan, they need to exploit them for the power hungry Nazis they are…Byrd called me a Nazi, so why can’t I call him one? Think about it.

Senior Editor "TSN"

James M. Well, all of that could be changing due to eight sponsorers of the new bill that simply states:

"Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to repeal the 22nd amendment to the Constitution."

The bill was introduced Representative Serrano (D) in February of 2003, and since several revisions has added 7 other sponsors:

Mr. HOYER - Democrat

Mr. HYDE - Republican

Mr. FRANK - Democrat

Mr. SENSENBRENNER - Republican

Mr. BERMAN - Democrat

Mr. SABO - Democrat

Mr. PALLONE - Democrat

Of course if this new bill gets passed this will mean Bush can run for a third term, it also means Clinton would be able to run too. This would be a match for the ages. It also makes you think of what would have happened if the 22nd Ammendment wouldn't have been institued back in the 50's. Eisenhower and Reagan could have possibly served three terms, it is possible that we could be in the fourth term of the Clinton administration. Either way, if this bill gets passed it will be a very interesting year in 2008.

Back in Black...History Month

Here we are again, in that special time of the year celebrating all things African American. I of course, am referring to Black History Month, an annual even that takes place the second month of ever year that ends in a number. In this month we reflect on all of the influences and impacts African American culture has left on this country. We celebrate Malcolm X, who preached hatred of the white devil or “Caucasian.” We celebrate the Black Panther Society, another organization that preached the hatred of the white male. We celebrate all the moments in time where the African American race has given the white race the middle finger. Black history month follows a less popular “culturepalooza;” White History Month. In this month they celebrate the same type of things African Americans celebrate in their month; country of origin, things they have achieved and of course White groups such as the KKK, and neo-nazis. Of course this month doesn’t exist, and putting humor aside, I think you get my point.
There would be a national outcry if there was even a White History Month, let alone a set aside time that celebrated extremist groups like the KKK and neo-nazis. I’m not saying that Black History Month is bad or that it should be abolished, I am however saying that it should be celebrated tastefully and not used as a big middle finger to white civilization. I understand the point and the necessity of celebrating culture and examining your history, but I believe they should do that and only that. The fact that they can even get away with justifying the praise of someone or something that preached hate makes my blood boil. If a Muslim were to do that right now they’d be in jail under charges of treason. In fact we spend millions of dollars every year prosecuting Muslims that promote hatred towards America, however it would be too taboo to say something about the African American celebration of hating the white male.
There is a case in Alabama of a kid wearing a shirt to school that said “Proud To Be,” then nothing, but it sat behind a white backdrop, clearly implying he was indeed proud to be white. Of course this kid was suspended from school and will never be allowed to wear that shirt again. There is another story that tells of an African American boy that wore a shirt with a giant X on it, this of course the symbol of the Malcolm X. Nothing was done to this child, and he was allowed to freely flaunt his hatred of White people.
We are at a point where freedom of speech is being tested, for the sake of freedom of speech. We as a country are too afraid of stepping on toes, unless those toes belong to a White male. We are at the point where we can justify picking someone over another candidate for a job or for college just because they might happen to be black. Kay Everett of Detroit Michigan tells of a new job plan that will promote reverse racism and “scapegoat” non-black businesses. She is an African American and she believes this plan is very similar to the one’s that were set in action back in the 60’s. She says it doesn’t make sense to complain about the segregation laws of yesterday, but at the same time to easily succumb to doing the same thing.
There is another story of Kerrl Done, a lady that spends her free time preaching about racism and how it has corrupted our country. She reported that her car was a victim of racism…there was a swastika painted on the hood, her tires were slashed, and the words “nigger lover” were even painted on the side. These accusations turned out to be “semi”-fraudulent. It really did happen, it was just that she was the one that did it to her own car. The school she was attending, Claremont McKenna College, never made a report about it in school files or anything in their newspaper. In fact it was later found out that this school only documents hate crimes when an African American is a victim.
Justice Clarence Thomas told an audience at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia, that black conservatives fear to speak out because "damning the dissenter is the new orthodoxy. ... These purveyors of the new intolerance spout popular buzzwords. [But] it is no different than the racial prejudice and bigotry of years past." This is where we’re at as a country, and again I am not speaking out towards Black History Month, or towards blacks…I just believe it’s time to play fair.

“TSN®” Writer,

Aidan Matthew

A Short Charitible Rant

The idea behind charity is to help those in need, those who are less fortunate. One thing Americans pride themselves on is their ability to pour their hard earned money into an organization that will use it to do good. The tsunami relief has proved that America has and always will come through to those in need. But my question is; “Where do you draw the line?”
I have always agreed with Pat Buchanan and his theory that American’s should take care of Americans first. I understand that we have an obligation to the rest of the world and to those who are less fortunate, but where do you draw the line? I understand that the tsunami left people in the streets, hungry and cold. But we have the same problem here in the States sans the tsunami. My point is, when do we stop trying to prove ourselves to the world and take care of our own first? What does a Congressmen say to a guy on the street that has to worry about staying warm in these winter months? I’m not advocating socialism, we don’t need it. What liberals need to realize is that Americans are not stingy with their money, the millions we have raised to support Indonesia should prove that. This is not an attack on any political party in particular, this is an outcry to realize what we are doing, after all Jimmy Carter has done amazing things with helping people here in America .
The Hollywood socialist socialites should be giving their millions to help those who are worrying about where their next meal is going to come from, before flaunting their cash to a country that isn’t even appreciative of our aid.We give millions (billions) to help people in Africa and all over the world, when in reality we face the same problems here. Sarah McLaughlin says “the world is on fire,” well that world (very different from than the one she lives in) includes us, the United States. Our poverty rate is ridiculous compared to the liberal (not the party) spending we do all over the country. We need to say something to our congressman, even to our President; we need to start here, before going there.

Where College Ends and the Left Begins

The following is a top ten list the Young Americas Foundation posted in response to outrageous campus activity across America. We have decided to stay on the liberal college “track,” and you can look for more posts similar to this one. Also since it is Black History Month, you can look for us to weigh in on that as well. Keep in mind that these views are not of “The Spinning News”® and that these items are from an outside organization. So here are the top ten liberal follies in the schools according to Young Americas Foundation.

10. Following a Young America's Foundation event at Ithaca College featuring Bay Buchanan, homosexual and feminist student activists demanded that the event be declared "biased" by the school's Bias-related Incident Committee. Although the speech was not ruled biased, committee hearings to determine whether an "incident" occurred are held behind closed doors and the accused is not informed of the committee's decision unless it determines that the student or student group should be referred to the judiciary committee. Furthermore, discussions on changing the definition of "biased" are also held in private.

9. An American University student was pinned down and handcuffed outside a Tipper Gore speech by plainclothes campus police who refused to identify themselves. The student was charged with stealing Gore's intellectual property by videotaping her speech, which was open to the public. The school claims that it made an announcement barring videotape recording of the event even though no such prohibition was on the flyers advertising the speech and print reporters covered the speech. The student had been critical of the university's president in the past and voiced concern over the $31,000 lecture fee the university was paying Gore. As a result of the event, the student was placed on probation and threatened with expulsion.

8. Vanderbilt University renamed its Confederate Memorial Hall dormitory to Memorial Hall, because the word "Confederate" makes some people uncomfortable. Also, Vanderbilt Professor Jonathan David Farley, an assistant professor of mathematics, wrote in the Tennessean that Confederates were "cowards masquerading as civilized men" and that "every Confederate soldier deserved not a hallowed resting place at the end of his days but a reservation at the end of the gallows." On his web page, Professor Farley has a picture of himself posing next to a poster of Marxist Ernesto "Che" Guevara, whom Farley says he considers a hero.

7. Incoming freshman at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill were required to read Approaching the Qur'an: The Early Revelations . According to UNC Chancellor James Moeser, the book was "chosen in the wake of September 11th ," which was a "great opportunity to have a conversation on the teachings of one of the world's great religions." It is unlikely a book discussing Christianity will be chosen for next year's freshmen.

6. The new guidelines for teaching history in New Jersey public schools fail to mention America's Founding Fathers, the Pilgrims, or the Mayflower. Furthermore, the term "war" has been replaced with "conflict" and most of the references to inhumane treatment that many American soldiers endured in foreign wars during the 20th century have been omitted.

5. Officials at Lewis Elementary School in Barstow, CA, barred students from playing "cops and robbers" on the playground until they could determine if the game is dangerous. The school's principal threatened a third-grader with suspension if he did not stop playing the game. The school district's superintendent said officials want to establish guidelines for the game.

4. Harvard University re-invited controversial poet Tom Paulin after withdrawing the original invitation because students had complained of his statements comparing U.S.-born settlers in the West Bank with Nazis and how they "should be shot dead." The school reportedly re-issued the invitation to show support for free speech. Earlier in the year, however, two editors of Harvard Business School's student newspaper were reprimanded for publishing a cartoon in which they used the term "morons," criticizing the school's computer system.

3. According to the school newsletter, a Santa Monica elementary school principal banned the game of tag because "there is a 'victim' or 'It,'" which creates self-esteem issues among weaker and slower children, and "the oldest or biggest child usually dominates."

2. Texas school board administrators toned down the curriculum that teaches Texas independence by suppressing "us vs. them" perspectives in lessons about the Battle of the Alamo and the state's independence from Mexico. According to the social studies curriculum manager of the Houston Independent School District, the school board administrators made the change because they don't want "Hispanic kids, or any kids, to feel like we're teaching a bias approach" to the history of Texas.

#1. Bucknell University held a forum in response to articles regarding free speech on campus that appeared in the conservative campus paper, The Counterweight . The dean of students and the assistant dean of students for multicultural affairs were in attendance. During the forum, students called the articles "hate speech" and the dean of students said that he was sure the editor-in-chief of the paper intended to hurt people by publishing the articles. The school administrators made no attempt to protect The Counterweight staffers in attendance at the forum who were being threatened by other students, nor did they reprimand the students making the threats. In fact, the multicultural affairs dean commented that the staffers were "lucky" the offended students at the forum were "such good kids" or the staffers would be risking physical harm. The dean of students threatened to have public safety officials remove the staffers from the forum if they did not leave on their own.

Thought I'd Let You Know

I have a quick thing to bring to your attention if you are a liberal…just another way to show you where your party is at.
Mine Ener slit her Down Syndrome-afflicted babies’ throat and then committed suicide while in jail back in 2003. I’m sure if you had the opportunity to decide this woman’s fate it might involve a pair of pliers, a car battery and a bucket of water. I would also be willing to bet that you would not honor her by naming a building after her. Well, that’s what Villanova University decided to do; they named the “Mine Ener Memorial Study Space” after her loyal service to the school as the director of the Center for Arab American Studies. Even though the disease was started back in the 1930’s when FDR was sworn into office, the main bulk of the sickness and disease has happened roughly in the last ten years. The disease that infected the party is feared by conservatives alike, and well known by the world. The disease is the ACLU. The ACLU has turned into a liberal podium for the party to stand on and infect all those that join.
When I say the Democratic Party is dead, I am also referring to the fact that it was once alive. The original idea of the Democratic Party is great one; rights to everyone, help those in need, protect the environment, and most importantly stand up for the working man. These rights however have been turned into cheap perversions and smoke/mirror tactics. The ACLU has convinced the World that murdering unborn babies is ok. They preach separation of Church and State by saying that gays should be allowed to marry, but they have tricked the people into forgetting that marriage is church, and not state. A white male has to be careful of offending someone of a different sexual orientation, race, religion, or sex in fear that the ACLU will come knocking on the door to take him to court. They believe men should be allowed to have sex with boys. They are willing to flood the schools with homosexual information, but not let the Christian God in, for we know that all the other gods are invited to their party.
The ACLU has turned the millions of JFK democrats into mindless zombies who will vote out of loyalty, with no clue where their party is. If these people realized that their party has given up on the working man and would rather focus on the “whining” man, they would drop the party. These people have been brainwashed into thinking Bill Clinton is a role model and that Ted Kennedy is a hero. Do they realize that Clinton is an adulterer and that Kennedy is a murderer? If you ask these JFK democrats that question, they will give you a probable copout; that’s their personal life, it doesn’t matter. That’s just where the Party is at these days, where they can brainwash a member into thinking that murder and sex outside of marriage is OK.
Of course not all Democrats are over the age of 50, there is a new breed of Democrat that does indeed know what’s going on in their party and they stand behind it 100%. These people are too young and naïve to have a clue how government works. I am going to say this once and only once…Communism is an omission of choice, which is an omission of rights.
Everyday this young breed of liberals thinks of a right and try to protect it. The right could be having sex with squirrels in your front yard and they will stand behind it, because it’s your right as an American. They have no idea the price of freedom and they believe you work at it by whining and trying to get your way. That is not the principle of freedom, the principle of freedom is spreading freedom to those who deserve it. These freedoms, however, don’t include killing unborn babies and pedophilia. These freedoms are for us as Americans to live our lives as we choose as long as it is decent and doesn’t affect anyone else. The ACLU knows this, how we as Americans feel, so they have adjusted our depth perception on what is right and decent.
People who burn flags and protest in mobs anger me more than anything. I always find myself wondering, “Do they not realize the government they are protesting is the same government that gives them the right to do so?” Just out of curiosity I would love to see the ACLU get their way and sneak in with communism. The liberals would be happy for a few days, and then they would realize that they can’t make fun of the government, and they sure as hell won’t be doing any protesting. The wealthy liberals would realize all of that hard work in med school means nothing now because they are making just as much as the kid delivering pizzas and at least he makes tips. Or does he make tips, because the people buying don’t have any money left over because of the jump in taxes to help fund a local Planned Parent Hood. No Christian liberals would be able to openly worship God because guess what? God has been outlawed, and if you don’t believe any of this would happen at the result of liberalism and communism (really the same thing to me) just take a good look at China.
But this is where the Party is at these days, a living liberal zombie filled with propaganda and taxes. The party has to be a zombie because it’s dead, but I still see it every day, so that means it’s still around. The party ended with a bang, the loss of the American voter, or at least enough of them to shutdown the majority of the party. Yes this is your party, and I recommend crying if you want to.

The Senior Editor “TSN,”

James M. Not with Iraq though, but with Iran. You’re thinking, “but we haven’t invaded Iran yet…” I know, that’s the ant hill. Bush sold the war in Iraq to the American people on the belief that they had WMD’s. He didn’t point out the terrible things that Saddam has done over the last ten years. He didn’t point out the 23 U.N. resolutions that Saddam broke. He just said that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. The American people believed him, I still do. I don’t know Bush’s real reason’s or his agenda for invading Iraq. It could be as simple as they thought Iraq did have WMD’s. After all, when there are three global (RSA, G.B., U.S.) intelligence organizations telling you that Iraq has WMD’s, there might be cause to do something. However, my point is not about Iraq, it’s about Iran. Iran is one of the three messes Clinton left behind for his predecessor, North Korea being the other one.
Iran has made claims that they are “trying” to get WMD’s, the same kind of try when a couple wants a baby I suppose. It’s even possible that Iran could already be pregnant. Bush is going to have to face Iran eventually, and when he does, he’s going to need a sales pitch for the American population. The WMD’s pitch will probably not work, the liberal media won’t let us forget that Bush lied and deceived the nation already. So what will he come up with? Sure, it’s a dictatorship with terrible things going on, but the American people don’t even care about Iraq’s doings, so why would they care about Iran? Bush could try scare tactics, they seem to work for the Democratic Party. This will be a tough time for Bush, for I can promise you he is working on his pitch right now. My guess we’ll see it in January, and the State of the Union Address, like we did two years ago with Iraq. Bush is has to do two things this January.

1. Convince the Nation that Iraq is going smoothly. He better have the election problem figured out by then, that is monumental. Is there a better way to prove that you are turning Iraq into a democratic nation by getting them to behave like a democratic nation? Probably not.

2. He will have to show a solid reason and plan for Invading Iran. There already is good reason, but he will have to bang that drum until Congress’s ears start bleeding.

The U.S. stayed out of WWII because we wanted to remain isolationist, but Japan taught us that we can’t achieve this. We must bring the fight to the enemy before something tragic happens again. The U.S. was in full opposition to the war in Normandy. Civilians died, we lost more troops than ever before. But in retrospect, I pretty sure that we did a good thing. America has already forgotten the valuable lesson Japan taught us, we can not sit back and view the World. We have to get involved. Osama tried teaching this lesson, yet again. And for a while there, people were reminded that we can’t remain neutral, and that we need to bring the fight to the enemy.

Senior Editor,

James M. I've been hiding in woodsiest corners of the information super duper highway for a long time and it feels so good to be out in the open sitting on the monitor in front of you. In case you're wondering, my name is "THE SPINNING NEWS" and I'm a blog. Right now I'm only a baby blog or even a blog fetus if you will. Hey, that last sentence raises an equally interesting and asinine question: Where does the life of a blog start and is it moral to end this "life"? BAAM. We've already got a debate going in just under a paragraph. Bet you didn't see that coming. But, as you'll find here at TSN, that's just how we roll.
Anyways to answer my own question, life begins for a blog when you have an opinion. So do me a solid and think a little about the topics you find here, then form an opinion via your word processor and let me have it. But first there are a few things you should know about me so I'll turn it over to my master..."
-TSN
These won't be "news" articles, meaning there won't be a lot of coverage on murder cases, weather, ect., it will be mostly thoroughly well researched current events with a little writer opinion. Of course every article will be easy to see the difference between the facts, and the opinion attached. We will try to have a balance of democrats and republicans, that way we are not too slanted to one point of view. We have two goals:

1. Take current events that aren’t being published in the media and exploit them…

2. Take current events that are being published in the media and exploit them with our opinion, and maybe additional facts.

We hope you will voice your opinion along the way and give us insight to some real issues. Questions or comments: thespinningnews@gmail.com

Thank you my children,

Founder, Editor and occasional reader of "The Spinning News,"

James Scott
